Jesus is Emmanuel, “God is with us.” God with us implies a disruption in our lives, our plans by the very God who is with us. The Christmas miracle occurs when we, like Joseph and Mary, choose God’s plan over our own, which are meticulously and carefully thought out.

A theme word for the season of Advent is "Anticipation." Anticipation changes perception. It affects our hearts and minds. It better prepares us. Without anticipation, that Christ came and will come again, is lost in the commercial aspects of the season.
