Last Sunday’s sermon given by Pastor Jennifer Suh was entitled, “Trust in the Lord With All Your Heart.” Just as a pilot must depend only on a plane’s instrument panel and not on his or her instincts, we must submit to and rely only on God. If we act on our own understanding, we may experience spiritual vertigo. God reassures us in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
