Wishing Well
The Wishing Well project is a short term mission for individuals or couples to serve children and young adults with disabilities ages 0-25 by attempting to grant a therapeutic wish. A therapeutic wish could be the purchase of a wheelchair, assistive device, adaptive play equipment, or a therapeutic camp/program for the individual. The mission team currently consists of group of several couples and individuals who are each seeking personally to raise $500 in 6 months for the fund. So far, after three months of the project, members of the group have hosted a wine tasting and a tennis fundraiser to raise their individual contributions, and the group has sponsored two dinner nights at the local California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant. With around $4,000 raised, the Wishing Well is very excited about its progress but welcomes anyone who would still like to be a part of the project or would like to donate to the mission. The group plans to select wish recipients in the fall with the help of Children's Specialized Hospital of NJ.
